Cosmetic Eyelid Surgery
Blepharoplasty — Rejuvenate your look
Blepharoplasty is a safe, high-precision surgery that removes excess skin and fatty tissue from the upper and lower eyelids. Over time, eyelids can sag or develop puffiness that makes your gaze look tired or aged. Dr. Fernando Martínez Solís, a board-certified oculoplastic surgeon, performs this procedure using minimally invasive techniques to restore a natural, rested, and rejuvenated appearance to your eyes.
When might you need this procedure?
- Your upper eyelids droop and make you look tired
- You have noticeable bags under your eyes
- Excess skin on your upper eyelids interferes with your peripheral vision
- You have skin folds that bother you aesthetically
- You want a change that looks natural, not exaggerated
How is the procedure done?
Initial consultation
The doctor evaluates your eyelid anatomy, ocular health, and expectations. Photos are taken and a personalized surgical plan is designed.
Preparation
The surgery is performed under local anesthesia and light sedation. It is painless. Most patients feel relaxed throughout the procedure.
The procedure
Very fine incisions are made in the natural eyelid folds so that scars are virtually invisible. Excess tissue is removed with millimeter precision.
Closure and immediate recovery
Fine sutures are applied. Surgery lasts 45 to 90 minutes. You leave the operating room the same day.
Recovery and aftercare
In the first 3–5 days you will notice swelling and some bruising — completely normal. Most patients resume daily activities in 7–10 days. Final results are visible at one month. Scars mature and become virtually imperceptible in 3–6 months.
